About Halima
I want to tutor because I enjoy helping others learn and succeed. It's rewarding for me to see students grasp new concepts and achieve their academic goals which they may never have thought themselves capable of doing so. I believe in the power of education especially for those from underrepresented backgrounds like myself and want to play a part in facilitating their learning journey. Personally, as a student of one of the most prestigious universities nationally and internationally - The University of Cambridge - I never thought that I would be granted this privilege and remain thankful for the opportunity. It is this which motivates me to work with younger students in developing their academic skill and letting them know they are truly able to achieve anything which they put their mind to. I want to bridge the gap between where students currently are and where they have the potential to be by empowering them to overcome any challenges which they may be facing in their educational journey.

I am a student aged nineteen and want to develop a personal approach to my tutoring in which student feel comfortable and at ease in a judgement free zone with the sole purpose of learning and solidifying content. Working on developing a strong and convincing argument and judgement will come from practise in essay writing and essay planning and I aim for sessions to be approximately an hour long with rest breaks to the students wishes with relative flexibility of timing to work around the students schedule so that they may get the most of the lesson. These lessons are ideally for GCSE or A-Level students but could also work with younger years having experience in younger year tutoring in a wider variety of subjects!
