About Nasreen

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Manchester currently studying a BA in Philosophy and Politics. I believe myself to be a hard-working, enthusiastic and friendly individual, who takes pride in academic work and aims to inspire those around me to reach their highest potential. I have always loved writing, and one day hope to become a journalist and start up my own Media company where I hope to utilise this skill set to spread awareness and inspire social change. I think perseverance is one of the most important qualities to have in life. It is the fruits of hard labour and consistent progress that in my opinion is one of life’s greatest fulfilments. This is something I have also learnt is fundamental to academic success, which I hope to share with my students. A key adaptation to my tutoring approach is the importance of building a close personal relationship with my students, I want to create a safe space where tutees feel comfortable sharing all worries, academic or not. I think this is a key foundation to sustained academic achievement.

About the lesson

Uncertainty is something all students experience at one point in their academic career. I aim to defeat this through equipping my students with confidence and a deeper understanding of their respective academic syllabuses. Combined with a close personal relationship to myself, I hope to build an environment of mutual respect where students can be honest about the academic challenges they are facing, and we can work together to find a solution. I thoroughly believe in academic recall, and a consistent upkeep of old content whilst working hard to understand new concepts and ideas.
