About Rhoda
I have been teaching French in Canada since 2005. I am certified in 3 Canadian Pronvinces: Alberta, Ontario and BC. I taught for 12 years as a French Immersion Teacher in Alberta and Ontario. I moved to British Columbia in 2018. Currently, I live in Surrey and I teach Core French and French as a Second Language in a Surrey High School. I hold a Master's Degree from the University of Alberta. I am passionate in teaching French to students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12. I love to watch them excel in their learning of the French Language.

My teaching methods are:
-differentiating instruction focused on using the right resources and explaining the concept in a way that satisfies the academic needs of each individual student;
-using one-on-one intervention on reading and writing that enables the students to recognize the different syllables in a word and connect them together to have a meaningful understanding of the word;
-helping my students to identify parts of speech and bringing them together in a logical order to form sentences.
-connecting sentences together using conjunctions to form a paragraph.
-integrating audio-visual and sometimes movements, to aid learning, etc
