About Isabella
The English language has always been my passion and I find great joy in helping others gain skills and understanding of the subject. I graduated with a degree in Classical Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and have spent the 7 years since graduation writing professionally for newspapers, marketing companies, magazines, blogs, etc...I began tutoring during the beginning of Covid and have since helped a number of students toward their individual reading and writing goals. Writing is my profession, but tutoring is my passion.

My lessons are structured after the student, their strengths, where they struggle, and what kind of assistance they are looking for. I like to spend the first lesson getting to know my new student and ensuring we both feel as though the tutor/student relationship between us is one they are comfortable with. After that, lesson plans revolve around improving reading and writing skills from the ground up. I have raised D-level high school English students to A-level, helped university students maintain a 4.0 GPA, and successfully guided students through college application essays and college internship applications.
