About Laura
I have just graduated with a theology degree from Cambridge and am beginning my political science MSc at University College London. I have been tutoring and mentoring for 4 years. This has included one-to-one teaching as well as teaching a large class. Aside from academics I love English and History of Art and read widely. I also play hockey and row.

I believe the main benefit of tutoring is the ability of the student to ask as many questions as they wish. In my lessons I allow these questions to catalyse debate and learning. I also believe that structure and planning are key, and I ensure each student understands the lesson objectives at the beginning of every session. Ultimately, tutoring should be about fostering genuine academic passion and boosting an individual's academic confidence, something I hope my lessons will cultivate.
