University of Cambridge Graduate Sibelius teacher at Cambridge - Jacob - Cambridge

I came to Jacob as a non-musician, wanting to talk academically about a piece of music as part of my Geography coursework at university. What stuck out most for me was how patient Jacob was, and how capable he was at explaining aspects of musical theory (e.g. harmonic progressions) to a complete beginner. With Jacob's help, I was able to grasp the language I needed to talk about the aspect of music that had interested me, and I gained a genuine and clear understanding of how a musical score could be analysed. He even proof-read my work before I submitted it, and checked it for sense, in his own free time. This proves how dedicated Jacob is to helping students understand. Could highly recommend.
