About Anjana
Hi, I’m Anjana.
I have a Master’s degree in Sociology and am UGC NET qualified. But qualifications are only one part of who I am.
At heart, I’m a curious learner. I’m fascinated by nature, people, language, mathematics, birds, fireflies, stories, and the countless questions that make us pause and wonder. I enjoy both the silly and the serious, sometimes at the same time, and I believe learning should have room for joy, playfulness, and deep thought.
I don’t see teaching as simply passing on information. I see it as a shared journey of exploration. Some of the most meaningful learning happens through conversations, questions, and discovering ideas together. I learn from my students just as they learn from me, and I value the collaborative spirit that makes every class unique.
I teach because I believe education has the power to change the way we see ourselves and the world. If I can help a student become a little more curious, a little more confident, and a little more excited to learn, then I’ve done something worthwhile.

My teaching is conversation- and inquiry-based, with a learner-centred, activity-driven approach that makes learning engaging and meaningful. Rather than focusing on memorisation, I help students develop a deep understanding of concepts so they build a strong foundation that lasts.
The classes are more for school-going students. Every student learns differently, so I teach with patience, commitment, and genuine curiosity. I encourage questions, exploration, and independent thinking, creating an environment where students feel confident to learn and grow.
I believe the true goal of education is not simply to prepare for exams, but to kindle curiosity and wonder about the world. That is the philosophy that guides every class I teach.
