About David
Hi, I’m David, a fourth-year medical student at the University of Edinburgh with a strong interest in teaching and supporting aspiring medical students. I achieved a UCAT score of 3120 (98th percentile), including 900 in Quantitative Reasoning, and successfully gained admission to medicine.
I have over two years of teaching experience through university societies and private tutoring, and I enjoy helping students develop their confidence and reach their academic goals. Alongside medicine, I have undertaken research at the University of Oxford, University of Glasgow and University of Edinburgh, giving me a strong academic and scientific background.
I understand how competitive medical school applications can be, having experienced the process myself, and I aim to provide friendly, practical and personalised guidance to help students perform at their best.

My UCAT lessons are tailored to each student’s starting level, strengths and target score. Having achieved 3120 (98th percentile), including 900 in Quantitative Reasoning, I can share the strategies and techniques I used to prepare effectively.
Lessons focus on understanding the different question types, developing efficient approaches, improving timing and learning how to identify and address recurring mistakes. I use practice questions, worked examples and timed exercises to make sessions interactive and exam-focused.
I have over two years of teaching experience through medical societies and private tutoring, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students can ask questions and build confidence.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for students preparing for the UCAT for medical or dental school applications.
