About Paloma
I am currently a first year university student following a Social Sciences Bachelor's degree at King's College London. Born in Paris, I am fluent in french and english as I spent my whole life speaking french with my mother, and english with my american father. I have also had a bilingual education in France (where both classes are in french and english), which made me study literature in both languages. I have previously given classes in english (and helped her in french literature) to a 13 year old girl seeking to improve her level in the language.

I am a french american Social Sciences student entering my last year before graduating!
I tutored an 11 year old girl from September 2018 until June 2020 in English and tutored/babysat 3 English children (1 year old boy, 4 years old girl and 6 years old girl) in French.
If the student is a complete beginner to the language, the classes will involve learning introductory vocabulary (learning how to present yourself, how to talk about your everyday feelings, the weather...) and basic conjugation (present, future and past tense) which will then include learning harder and more complex terms (how to describe a picture, and have a full conversation in English...). Whatever the level, the classes would be fully in french (unless translation is needed). For a complete beginner, I will use pictures, songs and videos to initiate the student to the language. Once comfortable in the language, I will prepare debates for the classes and ask the student to read (and perhaps do summaries and translate them) some documents in french. Homework will involve write half a page, which I will then go through, and look for ways to improve French expressions, sentence structure, vocabulary enrichment and general composition organisation.
