About Melanie
Hi! My name is Melanie, and I am a TEFL-certified English tutor with experience in mentoring, customer service, and helping people feel more confident when communicating. I recently graduated with a degree in Political Science, Spanish, and Latin American Studies, and I have also studied abroad in South Korea.
As someone who has studied languages myself, I understand how scary it can feel to speak in another language. Because of that, I try to make my lessons comfortable, patient, and encouraging. I can help students practice English conversation, pronunciation, grammar, reading, writing, and everyday communication.
I especially enjoy helping beginner and intermediate learners build confidence and improve step by step. My goal is to make English feel more natural, useful, and less stressful.

My lessons are friendly, personalized, and focused on helping students feel more confident using English in real life. I can help with conversation practice, pronunciation, grammar, reading, writing, and everyday English for school, work, travel, or study abroad.
In the first lesson, I like to learn about your goals, English level, and what you feel nervous about. From there, I create lessons based on your needs. We can practice speaking naturally, review grammar, improve writing, learn useful vocabulary, or work on homework and essays together.
I am patient, encouraging, and flexible. My goal is to make English feel less stressful and more comfortable, especially for beginner and intermediate learners.
