About Hattie
My approach to tutoring is student-centred, practical, and engaging. I believe that every learner has unique goals and learning styles, so I tailor each lesson to meet individual needs and help students build confidence in using English in real-life situations.
My teaching methodology combines conversation practice, grammar instruction, vocabulary development, pronunciation training, and interactive activities. I encourage active participation and provide constructive feedback throughout each lesson. Rather than focusing solely on memorisation, I help students understand how to use English naturally and effectively in everyday communication, academic settings, or professional environments.
Lessons usually include a review of previous material, targeted practice based on the student's goals, and activities designed to improve speaking, listening, reading, or writing skills. I also provide guidance and resources for independent learning between sessions when appropriate.
I have experience tutoring students from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels, helping them improve their fluency, accuracy, and confidence in English. My lessons are carefully planned, yet flexible enough to adapt to each student's pace and progress.
My classes are suitable for teenagers and adults, from beginner to advanced levels. Whether you are learning English for travel, work, studies, exam preparation, or everyday conversation, I will create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help you achieve your goals.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and tailored entirely to your individual goals. As a neurodivergent myself, I know that everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand what you want to achieve and create lessons that work for you.
Whether you're learning English for work, travel, exams, school, university, or everyday conversation, we'll focus on the areas that matter most to you. My aim is to help you build confidence and improve your skills in a supportive environment where you're comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because that's how real learning happens!
A typical lesson might include conversation practice, grammar support, vocabulary building, pronunciation work, reading exercises, or writing activities, depending on your needs. I like to keep lessons interactive and engaging, using real-life examples and practical exercises that help you use English naturally and confidently.
I've worked with students of different ages, backgrounds, and ability levels. From complete beginners taking their first steps in English to advanced learners looking to polish their fluency, I adapt my teaching style to suit each student.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes long and are suitable for teenagers and adults at any level. Whether you're preparing for an exam, improving your business English, or simply wanting to speak more confidently, I'm here to help you reach your goals and enjoy the learning journey along the way.
