Super tutor

Maarten Florian is one of our best Turkish tutors. High-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Maarten Florian

I have been teaching languages for more than 10 years and have set myself the goal of passing on my passion for languages to my students. I have worked for several universities and language institutions in Germany, China, the UK and Turkey.

About the lesson

Have you tried learning Turkish and given up, because it seems impossible to learn? Let's schedule a free trial lesson!

I offer interactive language training:

► beginner's and intermediate level
► all-inclusive lessons
► lessons with a focus on conversation, grammar, vocab and/or whatever you need at your stage of the journey
► You will receive a PDF file with all notes, explanations, examples etc. that came up during the lesson.

Learning a new language is a rewarding experience for lots of different reasons. Maybe you have found a job in Turkey and are required to learn the language or improve the language skills you already have. Or, perhaps English is all you need for your professional life, but you have decided to learn Turkish for your daily life or in order to be able to communicate with your partner's family and friends.

Whatever your plans for the future may be, I will help you achieve your goals with individual language training.

The lessons will be held with Zoom.

_____

I am (obviously) not a native speaker of Turkish and therefore know exactly why Turkish can be very tricky for native speakers of English or other European languages. This perspective enables me to help you in the most efficient way possible.

I have been studying Turkish for many years and have a C1 level in the language. I have been living in Turkey since September 2021.

I took both a German A1.1 and A1.2 course with Maarten and I highly recommend him as a teacher. He explains concepts clearly and cultivates an environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions. He structures each session in a logical manner, ensuring that particularly challenging concepts are reviewed before new ones are covered. I have really learned a lot in all of his classes and would not hesitate to take one again!

Maarten treats teaching seriously and responsibly. His language is vivid, clear, and the examples are impressive and appropriate. He always encourages everyone to speak actively and make the atmosphere of the class more positive and enthusiastic. The content of the class is substantial, simple and clear, so that we can easily grasp the knowledge. Students in our German class come from all over the world, and everyone likes him very much.

Maarten had taught me German for the whole year (A1 level) and I feel very grateful to have him as my teacher. He is always energetic, humorous and friendly. I think he is quite open-minded and loves different cultures. Of course he is good at teaching, and he also introduces many popular cultures among German young people, which intrigued me a lot. I do benefit a lot from him!

I have been learning with Maarten for many months now and could not be happier. Maarten is a very knowledgeable teacher who is able to clearly describe and explain the intricacies (and curiosities) of the German language. He makes the language very approachable and has been tailoring the course to my goals and needs. Maarten is very personable and fun to learn with in lessons.
