About Nicole

I am an experienced tutor with a PhD in Chemistry. I completed my Master of Science in Chemistry at the University of Melbourne with Distinction, and was subsequently awarded a full scholarship to pursue my PhD at the same institution. During my postgraduate studies, I worked as a practical laboratory demonstrator, supporting undergraduate students with laboratory experiments, research projects, report marking, and exam assessment.

In addition to my university teaching experience, I have been working as a private tutor for the past six years. I specialize in Chemistry and Mathematics, helping students develop strong conceptual foundations, strengthen problem‑solving skills, and build confidence in subjects that many find challenging for high‑level academic success.
I offer both online and face‑to‑face sessions (+ travel costs may apply).

About the lesson

I focus on conceptual understanding, rigorous problem‑solving, and clear step‑by‑step reasoning. My lessons are designed to help students master core principles, tackle challenging exam questions, and develop the confidence needed for high‑level academic success.
My hourly rate ranges from $50–70, depending on the student’s level.
* Not providing free lessons.
Group sessions and pricing structures are flexible and can be discussed based on student needs. I am happy to do both online sessions or face-to-face sessions (depending on the location).
