About Elliot
Hi! My name is Elliot, and I am a Statistics and Economics student at the University of Michigan. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping students build confidence in quantitative subjects. I specialize in math, statistics, probability, and problem-solving, and I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand through clear explanations and step-by-step guidance. I am patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. In my free time, I enjoy watching/playing sports and playing the violin.

I take a structured and interactive approach to tutoring focused on helping students truly understand concepts, not just memorize steps. I break difficult problems into simple patterns and teach students how to think through questions independently while building confidence.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material and identifying areas of difficulty. We then work through practice problems together step-by-step, gradually increasing difficulty while focusing on problem-solving strategies and intuition. I also summarize key takeaways at the end of each session so students leave with a clear understanding of the topic.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain quantitative concepts in a simple and approachable way. As a Statistics and Economics student at the University of Michigan, I regularly work with advanced math, statistics, probability, and analytical problem-solving, which helps me connect concepts clearly for students at different levels.
My lessons are for elementary, middle school, and high school students studying subjects such as algebra, calculus, statistics, and SAT math preparation.
