About Luke

I have experience in preparing my students for both ABRSM and Trinity brass examinations for which I currently have a 100% pass rate. I am also experienced in preparing my students to undertake the ABRSM theory exams (both the online and paper-based examinations) where currently 100% of my exam entries have achieved a distinction. I also provide tuition to those who simply want to learn for pleasure rather than for exams. I have worked with a wide range of ages, abilities and goals. I have 10 years of experience in music ranging from performance to analysis and theory. I have been playing the Trumpet for 10+ years and have completed all exams 1 - 8 and play at a diploma standard. In my free time I play cornet at a local Brass Band.

About the lesson

Every student is treated on an individual basis and I tailor the lessons to best suit their needs. I provide an approach that not only means that the student obtains a standard of playing that they desire, whether that be for an exam or just for personal enjoyment, but an approach that means every student enjoys the learning experience and enjoys playing.
