About Faatima
Hello, my name is Faatima and I am a native English speaker from South Africa. I have been teaching English for almost a year (since June 2022), and I have enjoyed every moment of it. As an ESL teacher, nothing brings me as much happiness as seeing a knowing smile on my students' faces, because that's the smile that lets me know that I am helping someone else to prosper and that my lessons are of value to anyone who joins them.
Before I began teaching English online, I completed a 420-hour course at i.to.i TEFL which taught me how to hold lessons for a variety of reasons as listed below:
-to improve your 4 skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing
-to improve your conversation for general purposes or for other purposes such as business, travel, or as a hobby.
-to improve your child's English skills for the purposes of school
-lastly, to prepare for exams such as IELTS, etc.

My lessons are unique because of their relaxed nature: I want to create a space that is comfortable for you to do your best. I am a bubbly person and it shows in my lessons because I am known to crack a joke or 2 in my classes. I am a native English speaker and an aspiring author, which makes being a teacher a great career choice for me because of how much I love English as a language. However, I can also speak Afrikaans, and I am currently learning Japanese on Duolingo.
