Hi! I have experience teaching a variety of students SAT prep, English, writing, and reading comprehension. My experience includes: - Teaching at two academies in Daechi-dong, South Korea - Private tutoring - Running my own tutoring business I am well-versed in college admissions and know what it takes to become a successful student. I am both flexible and organized. I believe each student is unique, and I'm ready to come up with a tailored plan for you. However, the starting framework of my lessons is as follows:
1. CONSULTATION:
A consultation between me and you to understand your goals and past academic achievements/progress.
2. SYLLABUS:
If you feel it would help you, a syllabus that outlines your curriculum with me. I like to leave room for flexibility so we can adjust to your learning style as I get to know you better. However, I can get very, very detailed, if that's what you need.
3. LESSONS:
Before we begin our lessons, I will ask you to acquire any books/learning materials I think you will need.
What sets me apart is my simultaneous flexibility and organization. I like to have a set plan in place for your lessons, to ensure that you will make progress. But what's most important to me is that you reach your goals -- so if the plan is getting in the way, we'll change it.
I'm a big-picture tutor who will consider how our lessons play into your overall goals, such as goals for college admissions.
