About Rafael
Hi, my name is Rafael. I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Sydney. I enjoy teaching because I like helping students feel more confident in subjects that can sometimes feel difficult or stressful.
I mainly teach math and I am comfortable supporting students across different grade levels. My strength is explaining things clearly, step by step, and adapting my explanation depending on the student’s confidence and understanding. I try to create a comfortable lesson environment where students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes.
I am patient, reliable, and focused on helping students improve gradually through practice, revision, and clear explanations. My goal is not only to help students get the right answer, but also to help them understand the method behind it.

My lessons are patient, clear, and step by step. I first check what the student is currently learning and where they feel confused, then I explain the topic using simple examples before moving into practice questions. I can help with homework, school revision, assessment preparation, and exam practice.
A typical lesson is usually 1 hour, but I can adjust depending on the student’s needs. I tutor maths for students across all grade levels, from primary school to high school. As a Mechanical Engineering student and EzyMath tutor, I use maths regularly and understand how to build strong foundations. My goal is to make maths feel less stressful and help students gain confidence through consistent practice.
