About Krista

I am a Teaching Fellow, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and former Senior Lecturer turned academic mentor supporting students' academic development at British universities. I have coached and mentored students from all nationalities, helping them achieve consistently high results on assignments, presentations and dissertations.

About the lesson

I take a personalised approach, ensuring your needs and requirements are at the heart of our process. I work with you, asking you the right questions and helping remove any barriers to your learning. As an adult learner, you bring a wealth of experience and we start with that - your strengths. And then we build on these through structured conversation, quality feedback and honest advice.

I have been a dissertation module tutor, a dissertation supervisor, a marker, and an external examiner. I understand the difficulties faced by students undertaking research projects and also know what it takes to do well, starting with well-formulated research questions and a solid research design and ending with a polished product. Whatever stage you're at, I can help you feel more confident being a researcher and a writer.

We work together, mostly online, via Zoom, Skype or Teams, at times to suit you. If you're studying in Lancaster, I can also meet you on campus.
