Arvin is trustworthy because he always puts his students first, and takes the time to understand where the student is coming from to target their learning and increase their chances of success. I had the chance to witness this firsthand since he tutored me in first year calculus and made me feel understood, which strengthened the trust between student-tutor. Arvin is a great teacher because he can take complicated concepts into simple terms. For instance when explaining how to find the derivative to me, he drew an analogy to climbing to the top of a ski hill, with the peak being the tangent, which allowed me to understand the concept. Overall, I found Arvin to be a trustworthy, friendly and effective tutor and I highly recommend.
