About Vaibhav Bedi

Hi, I’m Vaibhav Bedi, a Chemistry PhD graduate from the University of Toronto with experience teaching and supporting undergraduate students at UofT.

My own teachers inspired me to pursue scientific research, and their encouragement still shapes how I approach teaching. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their ideas, and saying when something does not make sense.

Science can feel overwhelming when explanations move too quickly. My approach is to break difficult concepts into manageable steps, work through examples together, and adapt lessons to your pace. I enjoy connecting what you learn in class with real experiments and everyday situations so that the ideas become easier to understand and remember.

Whether you are building a foundation, preparing for an exam, or tackling advanced chemistry, we can focus on the areas where you need support. My goal is to help you understand the reasoning behind an answer and develop the confidence to work through unfamiliar problems independently.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to your course, learning goals, and the topics you find challenging. I prepare personalized notes that draw on my undergraduate and PhD training, along with my experience teaching at the University of Toronto.

We begin with the foundations and build towards more demanding ideas at a pace that works for you. In chemistry, for example, we explore why a reaction happens and how that reasoning helps us predict its outcome. I use practical examples and guided problem-solving to help you connect concepts and apply them confidently.

You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and work through problems with me. I keep lessons relaxed and approachable, so you can comfortably say when an explanation needs another example or a different approach.

I welcome high school and undergraduate students seeking regular support, exam preparation, or help with specific topics. Whether you need to revisit the basics or tackle advanced material, our lessons will focus on helping you make steady progress and become more confident working independently.
