As a current CS major at the University of Washington, I understand exactly what makes STEM subjects difficult because I have navigated them recently. About Me & My Approach As a Computer Science student at the University of Washington Bothell, I specialize in simplifying complex STEM concepts for high school and college students. My goal is to help students not just "survive" their math and coding classes, but to truly understand the logic behind them. I specifically focus on AP Computer Science A (Java), Calculus, and foundational math.
My Teaching Method I believe that math and coding are skills you learn by doing, not just watching. My sessions are interactive and problem-focused.
Concept Breakdown: We start by breaking down the topic (e.g., derivatives or Java loops) into plain English, avoiding confusing jargon.
Guided Practice: We solve problems together, where I model the thought process step-by-step.
