About Anisha

Hi there! I’m Anisha, and I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome your child into my art classes. I believe every child is a unique artist with an incredible imagination, and my job is to help them discover and express that creativity in the most fun and supportive way possible!

A Little About My Journey

Art has always been a big part of my life, and I truly believe in its power to heal, inspire, and transform. From a young age, I found comfort and joy in drawing, painting, and creating with my hands. As I grew older, I realized that art wasn't just a hobby—it was a way for me to express my feelings, connect with others, and understand myself better. It became clear that art was not just about making beautiful things, but about building confidence, processing emotions, and finding joy in the act of creation.

As I worked on my own art, I began to realize how powerful it could be for others, especially children. I wanted to share this passion and create a space where young minds could discover their own voice, express their ideas, and learn through creativity.

Why I Teach Art

I’m not here to turn every child into the next Picasso or Da Vinci. Instead, I teach art because I want to help children feel empowered, express themselves, and have fun while they create.

Through art, kids can discover new things about themselves, build self-esteem, and learn to trust their own creative instincts. Art also provides a safe space for children to process their emotions, whether they’re feeling happy, sad, excited, or even confused. That’s why I became a Therapeutic Art Coach, so I could combine my love for creativity with the tools to help children connect with their feelings in a healthy, positive way.

My approach to teaching is centered on kindness, patience, and fun—and I truly believe in the power of a supportive, non-judgmental space where kids can make mistakes, learn, and grow at their own pace.

While I’m not a PhD or a traditional “art professor,” my training and experience have given me the skills to teach art in a way that encourages self-expression, builds confidence, and makes every session fun and engaging. I believe in learning through play and encourage students to explore, experiment, and enjoy the process—without worrying about getting everything “perfect.”

Why I Love Teaching Children

Children have the most incredible imaginations, and watching them bring their ideas to life through art is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I love seeing the pride and excitement in their faces when they finish a project, and even more, I love when they tell me about the stories and emotions behind their work.

Every child is different, and that’s what makes teaching so exciting! I tailor my lessons to meet each child where they are, whether they’re just starting to explore their creativity or already have a favorite medium they want to dive into. My goal is always to make the experience fun, safe, and empowering for every student, so they leave each class feeling like they’ve learned something new and had a blast doing it.

My Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy is simple: art is for everyone. There’s no such thing as a “bad” artist—just artists who are still learning and growing. I believe that art should be about exploration, expression, and joy, not about perfection. I focus on creating a positive environment where mistakes are celebrated as part of the learning process.

I also want my learners to know that their creativity doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Whether they’re drawing animals, abstract shapes, or a favorite character, I want them to feel proud of what they create because it’s uniquely theirs.

Let’s Get Started!
I’m so excited to guide your child through this creative journey. Together, we’ll explore new techniques, have fun with colors, and most importantly, build the confidence to express themselves through art. I can’t wait to see what amazing creations your child will come up with!

If you have any questions or just want to chat about the classes, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help and can’t wait to meet your child and start creating together!

Welcome to our Drawing and Painting Hobby Class, where creativity knows no bounds! As your instructor, I believe in a hands-on approach to teaching, providing step-by-step explanations and live demonstrations to ensure each child grasps the concepts fully.

I believe in the power of art to help children express themselves, build confidence, and learn life skills such as focus, patience, and problem-solving. My approach to teaching is rooted in therapeutic art principles, ensuring that each child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to explore their creativity without judgment.
Here's why my method is different:

Therapeutic & Expressive: Art is more than just creating pretty pictures—it’s a tool for emotional expression and healing. My background as a Therapeutic Art Coach allows me to integrate emotional and mental well-being into the art-making process. Children are encouraged to use art to express their feelings, ideas, and experiences in a way that’s accessible and enjoyable.

Child-Centered Approach: Every child is unique, and I tailor each lesson to their individual interests and needs. Whether your child loves painting, drawing, or simply enjoys experimenting with colors, I adapt the class activities to engage their specific passions while encouraging new techniques and skills.

Safe, Non-Judgmental Space: My classes are designed to be a space where children can express themselves freely, without fear of mistakes. I foster an atmosphere of positivity, encouragement, and creativity, ensuring that each child feels proud of their work, regardless of skill level.

Building Confidence through Art: Each class is structured to help children feel confident in their abilities. I believe in celebrating every small victory, from completing a piece of artwork to discovering a new technique. This focus on achievement helps children build self-esteem, both as artists and as individuals.

Class Structure

The typical structure of a class is designed to keep children engaged, energized, and excited about learning. Each session is carefully crafted to strike the right balance between instruction, hands-on practice, and creative freedom.

Warm-Up (5-10 Minutes): Each class begins with a short, fun warm-up activity. This may involve a simple drawing exercise or a brief discussion to help children relax and feel ready to create. The goal of this phase is to get children in a creative mindset and build a sense of excitement for the session ahead.

Main Art Activity (30-35 Minutes): The heart of the class is the main art activity, where children are guided through an artistic project. I provide step-by-step instructions while encouraging creativity and exploration. Whether it’s drawing, painting, or collage work, I ensure that each child can work at their own pace while still being challenged to learn something new. The focus is on process over perfection—art is about self-expression, not competition.

Show & Tell and Reflection (5-10 Minutes): At the end of each class, children have the opportunity to share their work with the group. This segment encourages public speaking, boosts confidence, and allows them to reflect on their process. It’s important to me that children learn to appreciate their own creative journey, not just the final product. I always provide positive reinforcement and gentle feedback, fostering a growth mindset.

Your child’s creative potential is limitless, and I’m here to help them discover and develop it. Whether they’re drawing their favorite characters, painting a nature scene, or experimenting with colors, they’ll learn valuable life skills while having fun.

I can’t wait to see where this creative journey takes them!
