About Mara
I am a passionate vocal instructor with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, Voice Major, and over 6 years of teaching experience. My teaching approach is integrated and versatile, covering Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country styles to help students explore their unique voice. I combine ear training, harmony, and music theory with practical exercises to develop both technical skill and musical understanding.
Lessons are fully tailored to each student, whether they are beginners discovering their range or advanced singers refining tone, power, and expression. I emphasize breath control, diction, pitch accuracy, and stage confidence, ensuring students grow into confident performers. Alongside vocal technique, I guide students in interpreting songs, exploring style, and connecting emotionally with their music.
I believe that strong musicianship enhances singing, so I incorporate theory and harmony exercises to support a well-rounded approach. Every session is engaging, encouraging, and designed to inspire a lifelong passion for music. Students gain both vocal ability and artistic confidence, progressing at their own pace while enjoying the journey.

My lessons focus on building stage confidence and helping performers connect with any audience. For The Quartet Player, I guide harmonization, blending, and ensemble awareness, while The Fiddler works on phrasing, rhythm, and solo expression. Both personas benefit from curated song choices that challenge skills while boosting confidence and charisma. I use movement exercises to help performers feel natural on stage, using gestures and pacing to enhance storytelling.
Video feedback is an essential tool, allowing students to see their presence, posture, and delivery, and make targeted improvements. Stage presence drills strengthen poise, eye contact, and audience connection. Vocal stamina apps support practice routines, ensuring singers maintain energy throughout performances.
Every lesson balances technical mastery with personal expression. Students build self-belief through consistent practice, performance simulations, and encouragement. By combining theory, technique, and expressive exercises, performers develop not just skill—but magnetic charisma. I aim to make each artist comfortable, confident, and captivating on stage.
