About Tatum
I have over 8 years of experience teaching singing to students from schools, colleges, and working professionals. I enjoy helping each student find their unique voice and develop confidence through music. My goal is to make singing fun, accessible, and meaningful for everyone I teach. My tutoring approach focuses on clear communication, creativity, flexibility, and empathy. I work closely with students to understand their goals and challenges, then tailor lessons to fit their individual needs. I guide them through important singing techniques like breath control, pitch, tone, and stage presence, while encouraging personal expression and creativity. In addition to singing, I teach related subjects such as music theory, ear training, and rhythm. This helps students build a strong musical foundation. One of my unique skills is my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds, creating a supportive and motivating environment where they feel comfortable to explore and grow as singers.

My teaching methodology for singing is built on accountability, creativity, flexibility, and empathy. I believe that holding students accountable helps them stay committed to regular practice and reach their goals. At the same time, I encourage creativity by allowing students to explore different musical styles and express themselves through their unique voice. Flexibility is important because every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to fit individual needs, pace, and preferences.
Empathy guides how I connect with students on a personal level. I listen carefully to their challenges and offer support with patience and understanding. This helps build their confidence and creates a safe space where they feel comfortable to grow.
Besides singing, I also teach related subjects such as music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises. These help students develop a complete musical foundation, supporting their overall growth as performers and musicians. My goal is to inspire passion for singing while helping students improve technically and emotionally.
