About Mia

My teaching approach for advanced teen singers and ensemble performers is designed to deepen musicality, sharpen pitch control, and unlock authentic emotional expression. For The Advanced Teen, we focus on refining vocal flexibility and range through genre-blending exercises that challenge and inspire. I encourage self-directed growth with DAWs and vocal apps to track progress, build harmonies, and explore personal sound. The Quartet Player benefits from ensemble-based phrasing work, dynamic shaping, and ear training to maintain blend while keeping individuality. We use metronomes and backing tracks to tighten rhythm and polish timing. Each session emphasizes adaptability—whether transitioning from pop to R&B or layering contemporary worship into indie textures. Both personas receive targeted feedback on phrasing, tone, and expression that serves both solo and group settings. Confidence grows not only through repetition but through connection—with the song, the audience, and the self. I create space for risk-taking, improvisation, and storytelling through music. Together, we’ll explore songs that resonate and techniques that elevate. My goal is to help each student not just sing well, but perform with purpose, presence, and style.

I’m a vocal coach with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice. I’m passionate about helping singers find their true sound, build vocal confidence, and overcome performance anxiety in a supportive and empowering space. Whether you're a shy beginner, a teen performer, or an aspiring recording artist, I meet you where you are and guide you forward. I specialize in Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship styles, blending technique with artistry to help you connect emotionally with every song. Breath control, expressive phrasing, vocal health, and live performance coaching are key pillars of my teaching. I focus on giving you practical tools that strengthen your voice and enhance your unique tone. My lessons are tailored, encouraging, and focused on helping you unlock your vocal potential without pressure. I know what it’s like to feel nervous, and I’m here to help you move past that with joy and confidence. Whether you're working toward the stage or the studio, I’ll help you build the skills and mindset to shine.
