About Chandler

My name is Chandler, and I am passionate about helping learners overcome challenges in mathematics and build lifelong academic self-confidence. Having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and currently pursuing my Juris Doctor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, I understand the critical role that strong quantitative and analytical skills play in education. My goal is to create a supportive, structured virtual environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and realizing their true potential in math.

About the lesson

My Method & Techniques: Math can often feel intimidating, so my primary goal is to make concepts intuitive and approachable. As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a current Pitt Law student, I emphasize logic, problem-solving strategies, and real-world application rather than simple rote memorization. I meet students where they are, breaking complex math problems down into simple, step-by-step frameworks.

A Typical Lesson:
Check-In & Warm-Up (5–10 mins): We review previous homework or address specific math concepts that gave the student trouble during the school week.

Core Skill Development (25 mins): We focus on a key mathematical concept—such as algebra, geometry, or word problems—using visual aids and step-by-step problem breakdowns.

Interactive Practice (15 mins): The student solves problems independently while explaining their thought process out loud, allowing me to provide real-time corrections and build their problem-solving confidence.

Session Summary (5 mins): We review key formulas/rules learned and establish actionable goals for the next session.
