About Nina
Hi everyone! My name is Nina, I am a second-year postgraduate medicine student at the University of Western Australia. A little bit about me: I completed an undergraduate degree in Data Science, so I truly understand the grueling task of preparing for GAMSAT, whether it be with, or without a biomedicine background. I have been tutoring for GAMSAT since 2024, where I scored in the 99th percentile for Section 3.

I truly believe that S3 is the section where the most improvement can happen. I approach this section a little bit differently to some, focusing on pattern recognition and logic, rather than theory and memorisation. Over the years, I have found that S3 has progressively become more of a science-themed exam rather than a true science exam, allowing people to improve their S3 skills much faster than they may think. Questions are often structured in similar ways, with core concepts and question types recurring each exam cycle. I aim to teach students how to tackle these problems using strategy rather than cramming content.
The way that I typically structure my sessions is by working through practice questions together from resources that mimic the real exam as close as possible. Then, slowly over time, I progress toward more timed and independent practice. I am always happy to cover any gaps in content that students may have difficulty with, whether it be brushing up on mental math or rehashing core chemistry and biology concepts. Whether you are starting to prepare early, or want one final push before March or September - I am always happy to help! Feel free to send me a message with any questions you may have :)
