For AP Statistics, I emphasize interpreting data and understanding key concepts, rather than just memorizing formulas.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Review (5-10 mins): Start with a recap of the previous lesson and address any homework or lingering questions.
New Concept Introduction (10-15 mins): Introduce the new topic with clear explanations and examples, using visuals when necessary to illustrate complex ideas.
Guided Practice (20-25 mins): Work through example problems together, encouraging the student to take the lead as their understanding grows.
Discussion and Clarification (5-10 mins): Ensure all concepts are understood by answering questions and revisiting difficult parts if needed.
