About Jared

I best describe myself (relative to tutoring music) as an affable, patient, fun, funny and beautiful soul. Overall I am someone who’s genuinely happy with the process, the work and enjoys watching another artist in their progression. I’m not here to teach you right and wrong or nitpick but to get one to realize that the best structure of music is daring improvisation and when inspiration strikes you gotta be allowed to express your thoughts and feelings through your fingertips and at any skill level there’s something to be learned if you’re willing to try and curious to test the bounds of your musical acuity.

About the lesson

At some point we’ve all thought, I wanna learn the guitar or to play an instrument or what have you. Well, my approach is simple. You can go as hard as your fingers will allow! BUT, not unlike anything of value; prodigies aside, you get out, what you put in! That said if you wanna play for a lifetime there’s a lifetime to accomplish this and in the meantime we can easily learn basic chords for whatever application and no reason we can’t work on strumming and timing and syncopation as it presents relevance to every players’ skill level. Firstly, we need to establish goals and a plan of action. And get you hooked by learning some of your favorites to add to the catalog asap. Along the way there’ll be help with maintaining the instrument, walkthrough of restringing instruments as needed and 20 years of experience from a well studied and unique and capable guitarist and singer-songwriter.

I came to Jared wanting to improve my music theory knowledge, and I've definitely seen a big improvement. He explains things clearly and helps me understand how the theory applies to actual playing. I'm also learning new songs and techniques that I really enjoy. Overall, I'm much more confident in my playing thanks to Jared. $50 Transportation fee covers rendezvous RideShare not applicable if pupil is to meet at tutors convenience also known as my home and times will vary. Additional to the hourly rate, fees potentially incurred during practice. i.e. broken strings, picks or any other consumables that vary in cost are considered the pupils responsibility. Don’t be discouraged, We can figure out something that works for all parties involved. But if cost is no issue as you pay, you will say and play, but if you’re on a budget like the rest of us we can work out a plan that’s copacetic for all parties involved. This can be panned out over conversation also why first 30 minutes is free. So, Relax and Breath…
