About Sophie
I've been baking and cooking since the age of three! Having worked in kitchens and children's homes for ten years, I launched my very own business, SuperDoux in 2015, and became veggie/vegan in 2016. I bake wedding cakes, macarons and special event cakes, and occasionally have a stall at local fairs and markets. I also run vegan pop ups + supperclubs and work as a personal chef- cooking for private vte events, day to day cooking for individuals and help with menu planning. I run cooking lessons for kids and adults from time to time and just love helping people learn!

For me, cooking is a mixture of practised techniques and brand new experiments - and I always aim to have a good balance of both in my lessons! I feel its really important to encourage creativity and allow for mistakes and so if I'm teaching a basic technique will go on to suggest ways to adapt it and transform it in the future, and tips to save the day when things go wrong too. For me, cooking is fun, therapeutic and a real treat for my senses, and I always try to share this with my students!
