About Jacqui

I am a full time Welsh Language Tutor with over 15 years experience of classroom based teaching and 4 years experience of teaching through online platforms such as Skype and Zoom. I have taught many students over the years, with the majority sitting and passing the Welsh Language examinations yearly. It has been a pleasure to witness my students who have gone on to become completely fluent in Welsh and see them using the language in their daily lives. I have had at least 5 students who have gone on to become Welsh language teachers or tutors themselves. My lessons are always focused on spoken language and the ability to converse naturally. I am very easy to get along with, amiable and flexible in my approach. I always strive to put the students at ease and encourage self-confidence and pride in their progression. About the lesson

My lessons are always varied and fun, with the focus on oral communication and skills. Lessons can include language drilling, games, quizzes and dialogues, along with listening tasks and some reading and writing practice. I can supply or recommend course books and can also recommend individual study materials which enhance the learning process and develop further progress.

There is always some written advice or vocabulary that is created during our conversations that is forwarded on afterwards for reference. I am relatively advanced in learning Welsh but I would suspect that Jacqui is able to deal with any level of learning just as competently as she has done with me.

We have had weekly Skype sessions, for which she is always very well prepared, and I have benefited hugely from her knowledge, her encouragement and her inspiration. She is very flexible and can adapt to whatever style of teaching suits you. And she makes learning fun - even Welsh!
