About Susan
I am a "people" person who enjoys seeing my students succeed. My goal is to provide meaningful and student-centered instruction to meet students where they are and move them forward to success. I am a very patient and kind person. My lessons focus on student abilities and goals. I enjoy finding new ways to facilitate student learning and success in creative ways. I have a great deal of experience in working with students with and without disabilities, and I learn from each student that I teach. We may even have some fun during the learning process! I'm excited to have the opportunity to tutor, and I'm looking forward to meeting you!

My teaching methods are very student-centered. They include the best practices for learning based on the student's needs and abilities. My approach involves getting to know each student's strengths, abilities, needs, and learning style. In establishing a positive student-teacher relationship, I can develop a personalized plan to facilitate success. Including student interests and preferences promotes engagement in the learning process. Visuals, videos, examples, art, and other elements are an inclusive part in delivering differentiated instruction for all students. I am a very patient, dedicated, teacher, and I am comfortable with instructing students in grades K-12, as well as young adults. I enjoy working with students with and without disabilities.
