About Richard
I have taught English, American, and World literature and composition to thousands of students from Middle School to AP Level High School seniors and have tutored hundreds more. I run a Socratic classroom in which students learn to debate, explore, and develop their understanding of a wide range of texts. When I teach Shakespeare, my students become actors. When I work with individual students, we focus on both the immediate and the long term so we can meet deadlines as well as look to constant improvement.
