About Lumi
I am an experienced Flute tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience, working with School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for academic purposes, personal interest, or career growth. My teaching approach is patient, structured, and student-centred, with a strong focus on correct breathing techniques, posture, finger coordination, tone development, and rhythm accuracy.
I believe building strong fundamentals helps students gain confidence and progress smoothly. Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, ear training, and basic performance skills, which support overall musical development.
I also assist students with exam preparation and performances. One of my key strengths is explaining musical concepts in simple and clear language, providing structured practice routines, and offering regular feedback. My goal is to help students enjoy learning flute and develop a lifelong passion for music.

I use a creative and flexible flute teaching methodology that focuses on clear communication and supportive learning. I explain flute concepts in simple language and demonstrate techniques to help students learn correctly.
Open communication allows students to receive helpful feedback and improve with confidence. Creativity is encouraged through musical exercises, tone development practice, and expressive playing. Lessons are adjusted to suit each student’s learning speed, strengths, and goals.
Flute lessons include breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. In addition to flute instruction, I teach related subjects such as music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation to support complete musical development.
