About Sean

Do you wonder how to refine your intonation or develop consistent vibrato? My career as an active performer with the New York Philharmonic informs every technical detail I address in my private studio in Seattle. I hold an MMus in Violin Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

Developing left hand agility and mastering complex classical repertoire requires a dedicated approach to scales and arpeggios. My work spans from 4 year old beginners to advanced students preparing for university auditions. I find great joy in maintaining my own performance career alongside these teaching hours.

About the lesson

Precision brings clarity. I begin by conducting a comprehensive diagnostic assessment for every student to establish a clear practice plan.

This foundation allows us to address spiccato and staccato bowing with genuine focus. Following the RCM syllabus for grades 1 through 10 plus ARCT ensures a structured path for US students. Sight reading remains a core component of our technical work. I look forward to supporting your musical growth with rigorous care.
