About Jerold
Many of the 449 students I have guided through the years start out feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of the violin. I admit that mastering vibrato and proper tone production takes a significant amount of patient repetition. With my MMus degree from Eastman, I help you navigate the intricacies of sight reading, double stops, and classical repertoire. My approach focuses on making these challenging skills feel accessible while keeping your practice grounded in steady, calm musicality.

Direct instruction works best when it removes the ambiguity from your daily practice sessions at home. I record playback of tricky passages for home practice so you can hear exactly how the rhythm and timing should sound. We spend time on tuning by ear and preparing for ABRSM or Trinity grade exams with a structured plan.
My 13 years of experience allow me to demonstrate how to achieve a beautiful sound through deliberate physical adjustments. I invite you to join me for a session to see how we can refine your playing.
