About Charnece
Technical accuracy serves as the foundation for artistic expression in my violin studio. A student might arrive struggling with shifting positions, and within minutes, we isolate the physical movement to ensure the hand remains relaxed and fluid.
Through 13 years of experience, I have learned that monitoring progress requires transparency and consistent feedback. Each month, I provide a detailed progress report shared with parents to keep everyone aligned on the specific technical hurdles we are currently overcoming. We address rhythm and timing by breaking down complex passages into manageable segments that build confidence over time. These sessions demand focused attention as we work through the nuances of tone production and intonation.
I prioritize correct posture to prevent strain during long practice sessions. We balance the rigid requirements of grade exam syllabi with the joy of playing music that resonates with your personal interests. Performing in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra occupies my evenings while I dedicate my daytime hours to coaching violin students from grade 1 to grade 10. You will find that my background, including a Bachelor of Music from Humber College and RCM Grade 10 credentials, allows me to refine your left hand agility and vibrato technique with technical precision.
I assist adults, children, and candidates preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams by focusing on essential elements like rhythm, tuning by ear, and sight reading. Developing consistent scale and arpeggio practice is a core part of how I support your development.
