About Hailey
I am a violin tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. I started learning violin at a young age and gradually developed a deep interest in sound expression and classical technique. Over time, I discovered that many learners struggle not because of talent, but because of unclear guidance. This understanding shaped my teaching style into something simple, patient, and supportive.
I focus on building strong foundations first. I believe good posture, relaxed hands, and steady bow control are more important than speed. In my lessons, I guide students step by step so they always understand what and why they are learning. I also adjust my teaching style depending on the learner’s comfort level. Some students need slow progress, while others enjoy a slightly faster pace.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing and exploring classical and modern violin pieces. This helps me stay connected to music in a real and practical way. I enjoy helping students grow from uncertainty to confidence. Watching a learner produce their first clear melody is always a meaningful moment in my teaching journey.

Learning violin becomes easier when students understand how small movements create clear sound. My lessons begin with simple posture guidance, relaxed holding of the instrument, and slow bow control. I help learners feel comfortable with the violin instead of feeling pressure from it. Every step is explained in very simple language so that beginners do not feel lost. I also use repetition in a gentle way so that muscle memory develops naturally over time. Students learn how sound is shaped through pressure, speed, and angle of the bow. This creates strong awareness of tone from the very beginning.
As lessons continue, students move into scales, finger placement, and rhythm control. I guide them through basic classical pieces and easy melodies that build confidence. Each exercise is broken into small parts so that learning feels smooth and manageable. I encourage learners to listen carefully to their own sound and adjust slowly. Mistakes are treated as part of learning, not failure. This helps students stay relaxed and focused during practice. Over time, their coordination between both hands becomes more stable and controlled.
Advanced beginners start exploring expression, dynamics, and simple performance pieces. I help them understand how emotion can be added through bow speed and finger pressure. Students also learn how to practice effectively at home without stress. My goal is to build patience, discipline, and enjoyment in every learner. With time, they begin to play with confidence and personal expression.
