About Aaron

I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer with over 20 years of experience in teaching and performing. I have traveled throughout America and Europe for teaching, performing, and collaborating. My home base is in Louisville, Kentucky, where I have maintained a consistent student base of students for the past 15 years. I primarily focus on violin and music theory, but I also teach piano and guitar, with an emphasis on classical violin. Bachelor of Music from Western Kentucky University Over 20 years of teaching experience with private students. Over 30 years of touring and performing

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on core techniques, gradually building upon them through organization, self-evaluation, and a graded repertoire to reinforce recently learned skills.

I encourage students to recognize their strengths while also making them aware of specific skills that need improvement. I provide opportunities for students to identify these areas independently and equip them with the necessary skills to address these challenges in a structured manner.
I employ a mixture of different teaching methods that I have acquired from various instructors throughout my experience. Additionally, I incorporate elements of the Suzuki method. I strive to use a method that best fits each individual student, allowing them to thrive and enjoy the learning experience. If a student is not enjoying the process, their commitment is likely to diminish.

I utilize Suzuki method books along with various etude and scale books, such as those by Hrimaly and Kyser.
