About Siona

I have a PhD in String Pedagogy and 9 years of experience teaching violin. My journey with music began through classical training and years of performance experience that deepened my understanding of the instrument. Teaching became a natural extension of my passion, allowing me to guide students toward their own musical success.

My teaching approach combines structure, encouragement, and personalized support. Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to meet individual needs and goals. Through technical exercises, repertoire study, and performance coaching, I help learners develop both confidence and skill. Supporting students throughout their musical journey is one of my greatest motivations.

Outside teaching, I enjoy chamber music, researching music education methods, and exploring new violin repertoire. These activities help me continue growing as both a musician and educator. Teaching violin is deeply fulfilling because I get to witness students achieve milestones they once thought impossible. Their progress and enthusiasm inspire me every day.

About the lesson

My violin lessons focus on building strong technical foundations while encouraging artistic expression and musical confidence. Students learn bow technique, intonation, rhythm control, tone development, scales, sight-reading, and performance preparation through structured practice and guided instruction. I help learners understand how technical skills support expressive playing, creating a balanced learning experience. This approach encourages steady and meaningful progress.

Each lesson is tailored to suit the learner’s current level and musical aspirations. Beginners focus on posture, coordination, and simple melodies that establish strong habits. Intermediate students strengthen tone quality, accuracy, and musical interpretation. Advanced learners refine performance skills, advanced repertoire, and expressive techniques. Personalized feedback ensures students continue developing effectively.

I believe learning the violin should be inspiring and rewarding. My lessons provide a supportive atmosphere where students can explore music while building confidence. As learners improve, they become more comfortable sharing their musical abilities with others. My goal is to help students enjoy lifelong growth and achievement through music.
