About Mackenzie
Starting with the basics, we will look at how your bow hold creates sound. That is the essential foundation for everything else. My BMus background means I emphasize tone production and tuning by ear early on.
You will practice double stops and scales to sharpen your technique. We can also explore shifting positions or the nuance of spiccato bowing. Posture is a major focus here. Vibrato comes once your frame is solid.
Staccato bowing follows. I keep the work focused on steady improvement.
