About Rodrigo
As a Suzuki teacher, I believe in teaching in a natural and organic way, so that the student will learn practically, deeply understanding the music and working on each and every aspect of it in an interactive and clarifying way. Once the student is familiar with this new language, the music, we go into the theoretical part. This is what we call "skill-based teaching".
I believe music should be learnt just like the mother tongue: we first listen, then repeat and, once these skills are achieved, we can get started on reading and writing.
I work with a range of different music styles, respecting the taste, the deficiencies and the particularities of each student, always seeking a personal and pleasing learning process, allowing each individual to make progress at their on pace, no pressure added.
I believe music to be the fastest and most powerful art to connect people to their inner self and that's why music practice must be pleasant and liberating!

Hi there! My name is Rodrigo, I'm 30 years old and I have a music degree from EMBAP - Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná (Curitiba-PR).
I started learning the guitar as a child and, at 16, met the classical and orchestral world with the viola.
Since then, I've played with a number of groups, more recently the Heliópolis Symphony, Camerata Sé and the USP Chamber Orchestra. I'm also a founding member of the Amaeté String Quartet, a group with which I regularly perform, playing both classical string quartet repertoire and popular music with young musicians and composers in São Paulo. Lately, I've had the opportunity to work on the musical theater, playing on pieces like Sunset Boulevard and The Phantom of the Opera. I also work as an arranger, writing both for the string quartet and bigger instrumental ensembles, usually bringing classical and popular languages together.

Comemora os acertos e esse jeito de ensinar nos leva a buscar cada vez mais o estudo e aperfeiçoamento.
