About Giulio Maria

I started studying piano under the guidance of Maestro Filomena Montopoli with whom I attended the conservatory for two years, and then continued my studies until I was thirteen under the guidance of Maestro Giuliano Mazzoccante.

At the age of seven I started studying violin under the guidance of Maestro Andrea Castagna who led me to admission to the conservatory at the "G. Braga" Musical Institute in Teramo, already at the age of nine.

At the age of eleven I moved to Trento where I continued my studies at the "FA Bonporti" Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Cristina Giovannini, who led me to graduate with full marks with particular praise from the commission for the execution of the sonata op.78 by Brahms at the age of 18.

In 2017 I met Maestro Alina Company, with whom I embarked on a violin and chamber music path, through the annual Masterclasses of the "Accademia Strata" of Pisa and the two-year course in Music of Together for architect-quartet at the Conservatory "L.Cherubini " from Florence.

At the same time as my academic studies, I was able to attend numerous Masterclasses and advanced courses with great names in music such as: Alessandro Milani, Pavel Berman, Oleksandr Semchuk, Vincenzo Bolognese, Franco Mezzena, Cristiano Rossi and many others.

I had the opportunity to work in orchestra with great masters such as: Luigi Piovano, Jan Latham Koenig, Juraj Valchuha, Gergely Kesselyak, Carlo Maria Parazzoli, Wolfgang Shröeder, Vincenzo Bolognese, Iuliu Hamza and many others. Since I was very young I have placed myself in the first places of countless competitions, and won numerous national and international competitions, subsequently, in 2017, I was awarded the prestigious gold medal for artistic merit of the Norman Academy in Rome.

I often play as a concertmaster and first violin on the shoulder and has joined great masters such as, for example, the great violinist Stefan Milenkhovic.

In 2019, under the guidance of Maestro Alina Company, I founded the Astro quartet, with which he played numerous concerts in some of the most prestigious halls in Italy, also being involved in a RAI service on the occasion of the post-covid reopening of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory .

Despite my young age, I had the opportunity to play in some of the most prestigious national and international halls, such as, for example, Auditorium Santa Chiara in Trento, Marrucino Theater in Chieti, F. Fenaroli Theater in Lanciano, Philharmonic Society of Trento, Philharmonic Society of Rovereto, Mozart House in Rovereto, Sala Bianca in Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Sala dellaMusica in Palazzo Blu in Pisa, Sala Mahler in Dobbiaco, Auditorium Nacional de Espana in Madrid.
I am very active in the field of chamber music, in fact I have numerous concerts in various chamber ensembles in my history.

I regularly collaborate with variable ensembles such as the "Ensemble Renato Dionisi", in which I very often play the role of first violin.

Since 2021 I am co - founder of the "Duo Mozart", a violin-piano duo formation, which I carry on with M ° Ippazio Ponzetta, a renowned pianist, with whom I performed in numerous concerts in the year 2022 in numerous cities Italian as: Alba, Monza, Cosenza, Grosseto etc.

I am also very active in organizing concerts, I am, in fact, the artistic director of the "Mozart Association Italy - Pescara Chieti Headquarters".

Furthermore, since 2022, I am also Vice President of the "Soloists of Euterpe".

I play a Romeo Antoniazzi violin from 1906.

I teach because I want to be able to convey all my love for music to my students, so that they can then spread what they learn from me in turn.

About the lesson

I had to reset myself at 15. This allowed me to learn the violin technique in a solid way. I like to accompany my students in learning the study method, as well as being able to allow them to best express their musical ideas. I like being able to set up new students but also helping already trained students, at least technically, to be able to do their best.
