About Devin

I started my musical journey at four years old, beginning private lessons with a well known violinist in San Diego California. I studied with a variety of incredible musicians as I continued my private tutoring and joined a youth orchestra. I quickly became a principal player in the orchestra, gaining the position of assistant concertmaster by my senior year. I received many awards throughout my education, including State and Branch honors in Certificate of Merit. Currently, I study at Mannes School of Music in New York City, studying directly under the concertmaster of the Metropolitan Orchestra. Over the summer, I was invited to play with a symphony orchestra to tour Italy. I have played in a number of professional orchestras and ensembles within New York City and I can’t wait to start my teaching journey.

About the lesson

As a dedicated violinist/violist currently studying at a prestigious conservatory, I am passionate about both performance and education. My journey with the violin began at just 4 years old and over the years, I have cultivated a deep appreciation and connection with the instrument and its repertoire.

As I refine my skills and explore various musical styles, I am equally drawn to the idea of teaching. I believe that music is a powerful form of expression and a very valuable life skill. My goal is to inspire and guide students, helping them develop their technical abilities and cultivate their creativity.

Through personalized lessons, I create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive. I am committed to instilling a love for music in my students, encouraging them to discover their unique voices and enjoy the journey of musical discovery.
