About Christian

I have been playing the violin for over 10 years, competing in state competitions and orchestras throughout high school and some college. I stopped playing for a few years but recently regained a passion for music and more importantly, inspiring others to create their own music. I enjoy playing classical music, Rock, Pop, and of course the occasional classic movie or video game theme. My goal is to teach anyone willing to find their style of music they enjoy playing through improvisation and sight reading!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is personalized, encouraging, and fun.

I first speak with the family to build relationship and assess goals, then determine what lessons to provide based on their goals and the student's skill level. I value compassion and patience above everything as I understand how difficult mastering this instrument can be, though it is very achievable by practice and determination. The violin is a beautiful instrument and it is so rewarding when you can play it well.

I offer a free 30 minute first lesson to get to know each other and decide if we would be a good fit. I plan on instructing how to hold the instrument well in the beginning and steadily teach how to play while reading music. Face to face in my home will always be the preferred method for effectiveness, but in case of sickness, weather problems, or any transportation issues I can schedule a lesson online via webcam.

Across all age groups, I aim to empower students not just in learning a few songs from memory, but to grow into self-assured, passionate individuals who feel equipped to meet their goals.
