About Eva

Education: Cellist born in Caracas, Venezuela. My musical career began at age 6 in the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Venezuela. At the age of 8 I entered the Simón Bolívar National Conservatory of Music, studying for the next 9 years with my teachers Juan José Romero and Francy Vázquez. Later in Mexico besides music, I graduated in the Licentiate of Psychology at the University Center Doctor Emilio Cárdenas (CUDEC). Master classes with Masters Jan Van Der Roost, Pierre Straus and Julie Sevilla Fraysse. Participations: I have participated with the Simón Bolívar Symphonic Band in the Teresa Carreño Theater, museums and houses of culture in Venezuela. As a soloist he has played pieces for cello by Antonio Vivaldi, Daniel Van Goens and Edouard Lalo at the Simón Bolívar Music Conservatory, Teresa Carreño Theater and Keyboard Museum (Caracas, Venezuela) with the accompaniment of pianists Serguei Pylenkov, Geraldina Méndez, at the National Conservatory of Music of Mexico, under the direction of Maestro Patricio Méndez with the Symphonic Band of the National Conservatory of Music of Mexico and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Pachuca, under the direction of Maestro Marco Orozco performing the concert of Vivaldi in G minor. two cellos and Concierto de Vivaldi in C major for a violin and two cellos. Experience and professional field: Teaching of the Cello in the Municipal Center of the Arts of Tlalnepantla de Baz to groups of different ages in basic, intermediate and advanced level (1 year) Particular teaching of cello and piano to groups of different ages in basic level, intermediate and advanced. (2 years) I currently belong to the Symphonic Orchestra of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo as a tutti / row violoncello and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Pachuca as the main violoncello, at the same time I receive individual classes with the Maestro. William Molina Cestari in Mexico City.

About the lesson

My classes are practical and dynamic, I try that the student learns in a simple and easy way through the relaxation and the basic techniques of the instrument, because to see it in a fun way and with the adequate bases is the main thing in this teaching. The school I use is a mixture between Russian and French technique, it is a fusion that will help the student to be versatile and successful in the cello, therefore the methods and books are linked to these two currents.

Perfect! Eva is an excellent cello teacher. She hit it off right away with my 10-year-old son, Lincoln. She has a kind, pleasant demeanor and a real love of music. She fostered in Lincoln a passion of learning and knowledge of the importance of basic ideas during her teachings. She is aware of the abilities of her students and has outstanding communication skills. We used to share information and have open talks about how to make her lessons with Lincoln more effective. She created some videos for Lincoln's ease of practicing at home, and it truly helps him a lot; this way, he can optimize his practice at home and monitor his development. I highly recommend her!

Siempre es muy grato enseñar, ver cómo cada día los alumnos van logrando aprender mucho más. Esa es la mejor satisfacción que tengo y he tenido siempre al dar clases.
Desde tu punto de vista, cuáles son los instrumentos más difíciles de tocar
Todos tienen su dificultad pero pienso que la guitarra es muy difícil de tocar, así como el canto e instrumentos de viento.
¿Cuáles son las claves para ser exitoso en la música?
Paciencia, constancia, dedicación, disciplina y mucho amor.

Me gustaría armar una fiesta con Rubén Blades y Michel Camilo.
¿Tienes alguna anécdota de tu paso por la escuela de música o el conservatorio?
Las mejores anécdotas han sido cuando he tocado en público como solista ya que representa un gran reto y el superarlo se siente muy bien, también cuando he podido viajar por la música y el tocar constantemente con orquesta siempre es muy grato para mí.
¿Cuál es tu secreto para ser un superprof?
Tener siempre la disposición de enseñar, estar seguro de tus conocimientos, tener empatía con el alumno, ser organizado y puntual. Siempre debemos dar el ejemplo para que los alumnos se sientan bien con sus profesores.
