About Julian

I enjoy helping college students discover how enjoyable and rewarding piano can be. With over 12 years of teaching experience, I have guided students with different learning styles and goals. My lessons are designed to make learning simple, engaging, and practical while helping students build confidence with every class.

My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and clear communication. I explain every concept in simple English and use practical demonstrations so students understand both the theory and the playing techniques. I encourage students to ask questions and practice regularly without feeling pressured.

To make lessons more effective, I use innovative methods such as digital learning resources, rhythm exercises, ear training, interactive keyboard practice, and personalized song learning. These activities keep students motivated while improving their technical and musical skills.

Students learn note reading, scales, chords, posture, finger coordination, rhythm, and expressive performance. I provide personalized feedback after every lesson and create practice plans that help students improve steadily. My goal is to help every student become a confident pianist who enjoys playing music for years to come.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is based on communication, creativity, flexibility, and student-centered learning. I believe every student has unique musical potential, and my role is to help them discover and develop it through structured lessons and positive encouragement. I create a relaxed learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve every day.

The learning journey begins with proper posture, hand position, finger strength, rhythm exercises, note reading, and basic music theory. Once these fundamentals become natural, students progress to scales, chords, arpeggios, pedal techniques, dynamics, articulation, sight reading, musical interpretation, and performance preparation. Every lesson builds naturally on previous learning.

I use demonstrations, practical exercises, listening activities, and regular revision to explain every concept clearly. Students receive personalized feedback and home practice plans that help them improve consistently.

Students explore classical, pop, jazz, devotional, movie, and contemporary music. I also encourage improvisation, accompaniment, and simple composition to develop creativity and musical confidence.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, beginner composition, and stage performance skills.

My goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and independent musicians who enjoy learning throughout life.
