About Vincent

As stated above, I have been giving lessons, both group and privately, for the last 35 years or so. I was Band director for a large school district for 14 years after which I worked on my Doctorate Degree and eventually became a college instructor. I am currently teaching teacher education courses both online and face-to-face , and music courses including private instrumental music lessons for a local college. I was band and orchestra director at the school I mentioned above for 14 years at the junior high and high school level. I also taught 5th grade beginning classes in instrumental music at the same school. I have taught many hundreds of students throughout my career. Many earned Superior ratings in Solo and Ensemble Contests throughout the years. A number of my students have been accepted to University Music Schools after graduation from high school and a few have received scholarships.

About the lesson

My Bachelor of Music Degree in Clarinet Performance is from the Cleveland Institute of Music. This was followed by a Master's Degree in Woodwinds from The Ohio State University. i continued on with a Ph. D. Degree in Music Education also from The Ohio State University. I have taught Teacher Education at the College Level both as face-to-face as well as on line courses for several years. In addition, I have 35 years experience in teaching private music lessons in clarinet, flute, saxophone as well as music theory, music composition, and Rock and Roll course. My more recent experience with the previous music courses has also been via online.
IOne of my goals as an educator is to pass on to my students the knowledge I have gained and the technical skills I have developed on my instruments so that they can also take great pleasure in their accomplishments. I do expect all my students to do well as we progress in our studies provided they do what is expected of them as related to study and practice.
