About Paula
Hello, I'm Paula, I am a singer-songwriter and vocal coach, nice to meet you! I am originally from Chile but I live in Chapel Hill, NC. I have a Music Minor degree in Classical Music (Opera) and a Major degree in Jazz and Popular Music. I am also a NeuroKinetic Pilates instructor and I developed a Communication Method, so my lessons are very holistic, since I mix all of my knowledge. Singing has a lot to do with emotion management, the ability to express your true self, finding your true voice and more, so I try to mix all of my knowledge. My method is unique but I always work according to the student and their interests, so it can be just pop vocal lessons. My first language is Spanish and I am very fluent in English. If you don't want just an academic approach and would like to try something more holistic, try a lesson!

My unique method: - Relaxation of the face, neck and shoulders - Breathing exercises: This may include rehab exercises (lax vox therapy, finger kazoo and more) -Holistic approach to singing: I am a voice professional and a NeuroKinetic Pilates Instructor, therefore I have a vast knowledge and practice on the human body and how it is interconnected. - Emotional release of the voice: Release of trapped emotions in the throat. - Communication techniques to find your own voice.
